Dana’s Story

My passion for dance began in the late 1990s when I joined a performance group known as The Gone Country Line Dancers. What started as a fun activity quickly grew into a lifelong love of music, movement, and bringing people together through dance.

As a member of The Gone Country Line Dancers, I performed throughout the region at community events, nursing homes, and entertainment venues. Some of my most memorable experiences included performing at parks such as Idlewild in Pennsylvania and appearing at the Dollar Bank Jamboree, where our group had the honor of opening for country music artists including Wynonna Judd, Sawyer Brown, Linda Davis, and John Michael Montgomery.

Those early years taught me that dancing is about much more than learning steps. Dance creates connections, builds confidence, and brings joy to people of all ages.

After many years of enjoying line dancing, I decided to turn my passion into something I could share with others. In April 2025, Dana and the Dazzles was born. We started with a single weekly class at The Winerie and a simple goal: create a welcoming environment where anyone could learn to line dance, have fun, and become part of a community.

The response was incredible.

In just over a year, Dana and the Dazzles has grown to offer weekly classes throughout Northern Ohio, including Norwalk, Huron, Wakeman, and Port Clinton. We've had the opportunity to participate in community events such as the Strawberry Festival in Norwalk, Ohio, and we continue to expand through private parties, special events, and new partnerships.

Today, our mission remains the same as it was on day one: make line dancing fun, approachable, and accessible for everyone. Whether you're stepping onto the dance floor for the first time or you've been dancing for years, you'll find a welcoming atmosphere, plenty of encouragement, and a whole lot of fun.

We believe great memories are made on the dance floor. No partner is needed. No experience is required. Just bring your enthusiasm and join us for the most fun you'll have all week.

I look forward to dancing with you!

Hi, I'm Suzie

I started line dancing almost two years ago, and I had no idea how much it would become a part of my life. Of course I love learning new dances, but what keeps me coming back are the amazing friendships and all the fun we have together.

Being a member of Dana and the Dazzles has given me so many reasons to smile. Whether we're practicing, performing, or just laughing our way through a night of dancing, I love being surrounded by such a wonderful group of people. The friendships I've made along the way mean so much to me, and I can't wait to keep making memories on and off the dance floor!

My favorite line dance is "Shivers." It always puts a smile on my face and is one of those dances I never get tired of doing. Every time the music starts, I'm excited to jump out on the dance floor and enjoy every minute of it!

Hi, I'm Tricia

I've been line dancing for almost two years, and it's become one of my favorite ways to have fun, stay active, and connect with some incredible people. As a teacher, I naturally enjoy helping others learn new dances and watching their confidence grow. There's nothing better than seeing someone smile after they've mastered a dance they didn't think they could do.

One of the things I love most about being a member of Dana and the Dazzles is the amazing friendships we've built. We laugh, encourage one another, and make memories both on and off the dance floor. It's truly become like a second family.

My favorite line dance is "These Boots Were Made to Dance," because it perfectly matches my fun-loving personality and always gets me excited to hit the dance floor. When I'm not dancing, I love spending time with my family and my dog. You'll also find me cheering on my boyfriend's classic rock band, Campfire Ready, where I never miss the chance to get up and dance.

I'm so grateful that line dancing has become such a big part of my life, and I can't wait to keep dancing, laughing, and making memories with my fellow Dazzles!
